Daily Confessional: Sing it with me everyone! “It’s the Most Wonderful Wine of the Year!” (To the tune of “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”). Ok, let’s get real, I don’t have a favorite wine, I love too many of them, but I do have my most favorite event of the year! Feast of the Seven Fishes at Grace, downtown Fort Worth (www.gracefortworth.com). It’s magical. It’s inspirational. It’s festive. And it’s my favorite.
Every year, 7 Fishes, as I so fondly call it, is the true start of my Christmas season. Steeped in history, but executed with a modern flair, the team at Grace, downtown Fort Worth, transports me to a place of happiness where the food and the wine meld into something beyond description. This historically Italian-American event is a not just a celebration it’s a feast! Consisting of 7 dishes featuring seafood any and all ways, it leverages the commitment of Catholics worldwide to eat fish on Friday’s, but offering many variations personal to families, friends and more.
My favorite feasts are those accompanied by wonderful wine so it is no surprise whatsoever I make this confession, but I’m already geared up for how amazing 7 Fishes will be in 2022, 2023, 2024 and beyond!
