Daily Confessional: I must confess, my language skills outside English are abominable. Ok some might even think my English skills are too, but I’m not listing! While I only know a paltry bit of French and Spanish, I’m obsessed with the names of wines across the world. Garancha = Grenache. Zinfandel = Primativo. Assyrtiko. Txokoli. Chambourcin. You name it! The stranger the name, the more apt I am to try it! Who’s with me? There are so many amazing varietals out there!
Yes, I know wine is scary (go take our course https://domsom.us and you won’t be afraid anymore!) and we like to stick to our comfort zone. So here’s my challenge to you – next time you’re shopping for wine, grab a bottle you’ve never heard of before and give it a whirl! Who knows you just might find a new favorite!
