Somm Women Talk Wine Podcast is official!
What a journey it’s been to get to this point! But we made it and we’re official! Somm Women Talk Wine podcast has launched and we’ll be hitting the air every other week! For months, Charisse Henry, my street smart wine guru and managing partner at The Magnolia Wine Bar, and I have been planning, brainstorming, forming our concept and brand. Life, however, was not nearly as supportive of our timeline!
For two friends who bonded over wine and cheered each other on to successful certifications with Court of Master Sommeliers Intro and WSET 2, launching a podcast seems like the next natural step, right? So what’s our shtick? What makes our podcast different than the numerous other wine related podcasts available? US! Yes, that’s right! US!
When it comes to wine, Charisse and I have each taken different paths. As the street smarts guru, Charisse has years of experience in the service industry from managing popular Ft. Worth restaurants, breaking records in wine distribution and now as a managing partner in our local favorite, Magnolia. She obviously knows her stuff!
I, on the other hand, take the nerdy angle and love all the geeky details from vineyard to bottle. Partner my nerdy tips with Charisse’s savvy tricks and it’s a match made in fermented grape juice heaven! Most importantly, we bring you the fun side of wine without froof and fluff or snoot and snobbery. Just two friends chatting about all things wine!

One more favor to ask – I’ve also launched a Patreon subscription! What is it? As a blogger and podcaster, my posts and our episodes are creative tomes in the same manner a musician sells his / her records or an author sells his / her books. Being my creative outlet is online and free to anyone who wants to tune in, Patreon allows me to build a subscriber following to help fund my adventures!
Each wine I write about, trip to wineries I take costs money and your sponsorship allows me to continue bringing you great insights into wine without going broke! Each plug in, podcast and web hosting platform, software package etc… comes with a monthly or yearly fee and it can add up quickly!
