Is intending to “wine” a bad thing?

Daily Confessional: I’ve made a decision. No New Year’s resolution for me this year! Nope, not going to go down that rabbit hole and find myself failing day 4 (oops, that’s tomorrow!). And definitely not a wine resolution. Instead I’m taking a new approach and am going to focus on being intentional. I’m not completely sure what that will mean and how I’ll accomplish it, but my research gives me hope it will be successful. Now what, you might ask, am I going to be intentional about?

Wine resolution, new years resolution, wine, wine education

Great question! I’ve professed to you time and time again how obsessed I am with wine. Wine education to be specific. I do not want to repeat others in the success they have garnered around wine education – they’re good, really good so why reinvent a wheel that’s already speeding down the highway? Good news is there are gaps in wine education, especially where I live in Texas but I won’t go into details today, still more work in my crazy brain to map this out more clearly. There are also gaps in “how” wine education is approached with most being highly formal, service oriented and seemingly inaccessible by normal, everyday people who simply want to know more about wine.

Maybe there is a wine resolution I can support?

This blog is a great launch vehicle and I fully intend to continue to deliver great content which hopefully provides some educational insights along with keeping it light, fun and probably goofy at times (can’t help myself, I’m a nerd!).

So, even if you’re doing Dry January, a bit of holiday detox or just taking a week long break from wine, I’d love to invite you to join my “intention” and get educated so when you do get back in the saddle, you’ll have more fun because you’ve been taking the fear out of wine! Now that’s actually a wine resolution I can get behind! Who’s with me?

PS: I’d love your suggestions on areas of wine education you feel are lacking so feel free to comment! Get on my newsletter list today!
