Daily Confessional: Coming off Wine Trends of 2022, I was not sure where I wanted to take Confessions of a Wine Nerd. I’m studying (once again) for another certification so my attention has been a bit sparse and scattered. DOMSOM (wine education for those of you not familiar with it – check us out!!!) is on the verge of going into full launch mode so much of my time is centered on ensuring the program is a huge success. And coming off of Try January, I’m still on a quest to keep exploring the wild, magnificent, diverse and entertaining world of wine! That’s it! Why end a good thing? Weekly wine tasting, well ok! Let’s keep this relationship hot and heavy and keep trying more new wines!!! Sounds perfectly awesome, right?
Not being one for sitting still, I’ve already lined up some fun engagements to ensure W.O.W. (Wine of the Week) is bringing new content and most importantly introducing you to new wine shops, wine professionals and enthusiasts around town (Fort Worth is brimming with great wine experiences!) and on my travels. Is there a varietal you’ve been wanting to learn about or try? Is there a wine region that has caught your attention and you’d rather have me check it out and give a thumbs up before you dive in and buy a bottle? I’m game! Send me your suggestions – but please know I don’t have a trust fund or million dollar sponsor to fund my weekly wine explorations so I’m going to stick to my favorite game plan which is to discover amazing wines that do not break the bank – yours or mine!!!!
